Tekkonkinkreet

I just watched Tekkonkinkreet (Tekon kinkurîto) and wow! I have to admit I wasn’t very attracted to the cover of the DVD since it’s not illustrated in the traditional anime style but I decided to check it out. It’s absolutely amazing. The drawing style is very amusing and the characters are full of emotion despite the abstraction in the drawings. Everything fist perfectly together, the story is great. Best of all are the personalities themselves. I absolutely adore “White” pictured above (one of two main characters). He’s a wacky 12 year old that seems a little slow for his age but makes up for it with how genuine he is and his crazy imagination.
This is a must see!

Another Anime I watched recently is Paprika. It was definitely worth watching but I have to say I was a little bored. Visually it was very nice but I just thought the storyline didn’t add up to the visual effect. Honestly I thought it was kinda cliché.

The last one I want to mention is Suicide Club (Jisatsu saakuru). I enjoyed this movie, it was the typical Japanese Kawaii Noir that I totally love. Very corny but gross at the same time, a good combination I think lol.
