And Everything Nice

It’s official, my throat is sore and I’m coughing. I think there is a 99% chance that I’ve caught the delightful Bronchitis/nasal infection combo that my mom, sister and most recently husband had. Oh joy.
But since I haven’t lost my appetite yet, I thought I’d blog about some nice bento’s.

I came across a Bento Flickr set which has some pretty amazing Bento’s. I love how they have become more international with all types of food. I have once in my life gotten the chance to eat from a bento at a delicious Japanese restaurant in Iceland. I wish I had the patience to pack one everyday for school or work.

I’ve seen so many versions of bento’s and it’s great how the Kawaii plays in with all the cute little faces and characters. I also adore the little accessories that you can buy to include in your bento like tiny plastic bottles for your soy sauce and molds to put your hard boiled eggs in to make different shapes (seen below).

Just a final thought, being sick is kinda cute, well if your not dying or anything like that. But the whole helplessness, vulnerability and being nurtured is definitely cute, just thinking about characters from cartoons and children’s books under the covers with thermometers in their mouths. Cough, cough.
